I was browsing around like usual when I came across something that I haven’t seen before that I thought was a particularly good idea.

There’s a new company called Alpine Smart Rent that allows you to rent a new set of skis or a snowboard for a fraction of the price. It particularly makes sense if you’re looking to ride for a month. You can rent from about $150, a great new set.

Rent Month to Month

I was checking out a nice pair of Atomic skis and they’re going for about $200 per month. This pair of skis retails for almost $800 with bindings. It does make a lot of sense if you want to ride for only a month or two out of the year.

Rent to Own

I was going to buy a new pair of skis this winter. Sadly, I blew my money on a trip to Mexico. But with low monthly prices, this actually makes it feasible to get a new pair of skis this year.

Insurance?

There is insurance on the gear so you it looks pretty good.
