Woah people.
Talk about a crazy season. That cold snap at the beginning, I think it hit -25 in early December! The incident where a tower fell on the Excalibur gondola. The deaths earlier on. The avalanches. The lack of snow. The lack of snow. The lack of snow! The final arrival of snow in March! Awesome skiing and boarding for a few weeks. The World Ski and Snowboard Festival. The list goes on and on. But the 2008/2009 season I will remember for the rest of my life.
Sunday is the last day! A single tear drop has fallen from my goggle tanned face. Oh well. It’s been one hell of a season. If you want to go skiing, make sure that you get your butt up there Saturday or Sunday because the mountain isn’t going to be open anymore.
However, if you want to still ski this season, the glacier opens up on June 20th, until about July 26th for spring skiing. Camp of Champions and a few other camps will be there, but there is a small terrain park open to the public.
If you want to get a glacier pass this summer you’re looking to pay between $244 and $400. If you ski it often, let me know if it’s worth it.
See ya on the mountain!
Dude, you will remember this season forever because of that one awesome ski group you had the first week of May.
