I’m really very skeptical about this. I don’t know exactly what’s going on and I’ve been trying to get to the bottom of this, with no luck at all.

I’ve called Whistler P.R. and they haven’t returned my calls (like usual), I’ve tried getting in touch with FIS and the World Cup with no luck. It’s very frustrating.

The Vancouver Sun is reporting that yesterday FIS cancelled the Giant Slolom race saying the snow was too soft to ensure racer safety.

“WHISTLER, B.C. - Officials from the Fédération Internationale de Ski decided Saturday to call off Sunday’s parallel giant slalom competition at Whistler, saying the snow was too soft to ensure adequate safety for the racers.”

This is the only sentence I have to go on. So if anyone has some more information on this, please email me.

Maybe I’m looking in the wrong spots but the publicity for the world cup is weak.
