Whistler Watch

I was browsing through one of my favourite Whistler sites, whistlerblackcombsnowreport.com and read about the Symphony chair breaking down in the afternoon.

Apparently people were stuck on the chair for about an hour and a half. Ski patrol notified everyone that they were going to be evacuated, but luckily the chair started working again and it doesn’t seem that people were evacuated.

That would not be fun!

I’m sure everyone that was in that area was pretty mad. Symphony is isolated, so to ski out of that area you have to take the chair or hike out.

The problem was probably electrical. It’s just a good thing that everyone is safe. That’s one of the newest chairs too!
