Who’d have thought, Latvia, of all countries, would create a new world record in the 4 man Bobsled. I just thought Canada would do it. We didn’t, maybe that’s just the fire and incentive we need to win for next year, right?
Oh, okay… Congratulations to Latvia.
Latvia does have the new Guinness record for fastest four-person bobsled. They averaged over 152.68km/h over two runs.
The mens 4-person bobsleigh results were as follows:
- Latvia - 1:42.17 sec.
- U.S.A. - 1:42.23 sec.
- Russia - 1:42.67 sec.
- Canada - 1:42.99 sec.
So, as you can see the Canadian team, consisting of Pierre Lueders, Ken Kotyk, David Bissett, and Justin Kripps, were a mere 0.83 seconds from being in first place. We’ll keep working on it and make sure were have gold in the Olympics.

The World cup is now over for Whistler, it’s off to Utah.
