Whistler Watch

One of the greatest engineering feats in history is happening tomorrow, Friday December 12, 2008. The Launch of the Peak 2 Peak gondola that takes you from the top of Blackcomb Mountain all the Way to Whistler Mountain is opening to the public for the first time.

10:30 is the official opening ceremony. It’s taking place on both mountains, Blackcomb and Whistler. There’s going to be parties and DJs and other cool stuff.

I may have heard through the grapevine that the Premier of British Columbia, Gordon Campbell is going to be the one to cut the ribbon and press the button.  I can’t confirm on deny that, I just heard.

11:00 - 2:00 is the openhouse in Roundhouse. That’ll entertain you for a while.
