Whistler Watch

I was walking by the site of the Excalibur Gondola incident today. I noticed that they seemed to be reconstructing the tower.

It was about 4pm on Sunday when I walked by and they seemed to have a new tower up.

If that’s the case, then you can assume that the Gondola will be open in just a few days. They had already raised the cable to the height of the tower. This is a good sign.

I can’t say for sure, but I’d assume that Intrawest is trying really hard to get the Gondola open for Monday. That’d be the best idea. Christmas camps start up on Monday and it would be prudent.
