I’m stoked! I just instated a cool new feature on WhistlerWatch.com called Twitter. Take a look to the left sidebar. My Twitter updates are under Quick Little Posts.
If you’re not familiar with Twitter, it’s a little tool that allows you to write little posts frequently. But the really cool feature of this is that I can update twitter from my cellphone and have it publish directly to the site! This frequent small posting is called microblogging.
So, if I’m driving down the highway and there is a car accident and traffic is backed up for 30 minutes, I can send a text message saying “Don’t take Highway #99 south, because traffic is backed up” and it will publish directly to my site.
You can imagine how helpful this can be. Suppose I’m standing outside Buffalo Bill’s and there’s a 30 minute lineup. I can send a text and you can view it on my site at any time.
You can follow me directly through Twitter.com or just check back on WhistlerWatch.com and view quick little updates.
Also, if you have something that I should post, you can send it to me and I’ll post it directly to WhistlerWatch.com. Send me a text!
